Another sunny weekend great for shopping in Norwich

Norwich offers an amazing range of shopping experiences, from small Independent and specialist shops to large shopping centers.

Independent, specialist shops


The medieval alleys and winding back streets in the heart of the city form the Norwich Lanes, Upper St, Giles, St. Benedicts, Elm Hill, London Street and Timberhill. In all these locations you will find independent small businesses selling original gifts, specialist and lifestyle shops, or that something extra special, designer clothing, books, antiques, hairdressers, vintage clothes and even teddy bears.

High Street

High street names and large department stores are well represented including a very large and comprehensive John Lewis, House of Fraser, BHS, a regional flag-ship store for Marks & Spencer and a newly refurbished Debenhams. Mixed with this are a selection of all the usual eateries, coffee bars and pavement cafes – Starbucks, Pret a Manger, Costa Coffee plus a selection of independent cafes, delis.
Shopping centres

Norwich houses two great shopping centres, The Mall Norwich and  Chapelfield. Between them they offer over 150 shops plus restaurants and cafes. A five minute walk from the city centre takes you to the Cathedral Retail Park. The other side of the city you will find Riverside Retail adjacent to the train station. Riverside Retail features large stores include Mamas & Papas, Next and Argos.
