The George Hotel, Swaffham
Located in the historic market town of Swaffham the Best Western George Hotel is an ideal base to explore the North Norfolk coast including the Sandringham estate, Walsingham and Thusford.
The George Hotel played host to the crew and cast of Kingdom, the ITV drama based in Swaffham, otherwise known as Market Shipborough. Star Stephen Fry recommended Swaffham to the producers, citing market towns as "more revealing of what Britain is like than a city is". Locations used within Swaffham include Oakleigh House (as the offices of Kingdom and Kingdom) and the Greyhound pub (renamed "The Startled Duck"), amongst others.
So why not join the stars and stay with us at the George Hotel, enjoy lunch or dinner in the delightful Green Room restaurant, or try a wide range of delicious dishes in our traditional bar including afternoon tea in the recently refurbished lounge.
And don't forget the wonderful traditional local market on Saturdays.
